Residential Complex in Brno - Komín

Taking into consideration the slope of the terrain as well as the surrounding development, two types of residential buildings have been proposed: Komín a Komínek.They are placed in a regular structure into a given land. Sustainable development is at the core of the proposal. The residential buildings are proposed as sturctures created from multiple components. The framework is comprised of a reinforced concrete and the peripheral walls are stuffed with thermal insulating wooden panels. Air conditioned heating will be used (the air will be heated by a gas boiler). Due to the quality of the insolation, the houses are considered as low energy structures. As individual structures, each apartment has three sided orientation to cardinal direction. Some of the rooms have two sided lighting, which further increases their attractivness. The residential bulding is composed of Maisonette appartments, which together create asimilar structure. The fundamental space is intertwined with a ribbon that carries on its edges balconies, terraces or parking spaces. Each unit has a balcony, which allows the residence to relax and enjoy the surrounding landscape. The housing is proposed for a general audience (wider population). There are several types of appartments including no barrier appartments situated in the first floor as well as Maisonette appartments in the last floor.
Concept of an In-line Spark-ignition Engine

This thesis deals with comparison of straight four-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 1,5 litres and its three-cylinder alternative, which is based on a four-cylinder. The thesis starts with a research, where are examples of some currently manufactured engines. The research is followed by design of both engines, where the design of the crank mechanisms is made more in detail. After that, both crank mechanisms are subjected to dynamic analysis using FEM and MBS methods. The thesis ends with comparison of both engines in terms of crankshaft load, mass and dimensions.
Instalation of AR64304 Engine

This diploma thesis is concerned about installation of AR64304 engine into Alfa Romeo 75. The main goal of this thesis is a design of exhaust system for AR64304 engine installed in the engine bay of the vehicle. The design of the exhaust system was done with a respect to the noise and emission requirements, as well as with a respect to the performance of the engine. Lotus Engine Simulation software was used for the simulation of the engine with proposed exhaust system. Input data for the simulation were obtained from measurements of the cylinder head on a flow bench and precise measurement of camshaft profile. The essential contribution of this work is a set of construction parameters of the exhaust system. This thesis also contains technical specifications of AR64304 engine and the installation process.
Development of the real estate market in Brno and its surroundings

This diploma thesis deals with the development of the real estate market in selected urban areas of Brno and its surroundings. First of all, it defines the basic terms and definitions that relate to the real estate market and real estate valuation. The development of factors that affect the real estate market is examined. In the next part there is an analysis of the development of realized purchase prices of flats in Brno and also a thorough analysis of the development of average offer prices of flats in Brno and in the cities of Rousínov, Šlapanice and Slavkov u Brna to compare price differences. To compare prices, three basic criteria are set, on which the development is noticeable. The last part of the work presents a comparison and evaluation of realized purchase prices and offer prices of apartments according to selected criteria in selected city districts of Brno in the years 2018-2020.
Multifunctional building

Project solves seven-storey building with basement in urban area. Object mainly consists of building and private parking area. Functionally, the building is divided into parts for commercial, administrative and housing. The shape of the building is terraced with flat roof. Structural systém is a frame with locally supported ceilings founded on reinforced concrete slab supported by piles. The building envelope is partly of ceramics blocks, concrete wtih ETICS and curtain wall. The aim of project is to create documentation for realization based on building physics solution.
Brno waterfront - rehabilitation of rivers and their surrounding areas

The aim of the assignment was to rehabilitate the area of the Brno embankment of the river Svitava and the nearby surroundings of the river. This is the modification of the river's seashore, the modification of public spaces and the completion of individual objects. The solved territory is defined in the east and north of Cejl streets, on the east of the Svitava river and on the south by Tkalcovska street. The principles of the proposal are based on the necessary changes to the territory. The biggest problem of the area is the area backups for the hypermarket parking lot and the urbanistically incoherent structure of the courtyards and the poorly functioning waterfront. The proposal focuses on making the river accessible and bringing water closer to people. On the waterfront the bicycle path is used not only by cyclists. The former hypermarket is converted into a shopping mall and the ground floor of the seafront is made up of shops, services, cafes and restaurants. For humans, a river was available that could touch water. For relaxation and recreation, the terraces are provided. Better permeability also offers the river itself. By modifying the footbridge and delivering a new footbridge in the middle part, pedicists and cyclists can better cross the river. The park and the reclamation of planted trees have been modified. The Svitavy Drive in the section of the park was also accessible by foot. The siding was preserved to a certain extent in order to be able to prepare a wagon with a café or other possibilities of the Svitava festival under the steam. The construction of new houses increases the attractiveness of the area itself and offers both flats overlooking the river with the dominant of the church as well as services in the workshops of the individual houses. This diplom thesis describes design of new pressured air cooling system for trubocharged Diesel engine used in CDS Semi-Pro competitions. First part is focused on analysis external conditions influencing the desing. Second part pays attention to simulations of performance. Third part describes design of two systems and possible testitng method. In last part, the real parametrs are put into the computing model followed by verification of the results and evaulation of the designed systems.
Smart District Špitalka

This thesis deals with an architectural case study of the urban block in the Svitava industrial zone bordered by the Svitava River in the east, Ring Road in the west, Milady Horákové Street in the north and Zvonařka Street in the south. Špitálka Smart City has been designed to be in this area. The thesis is modelled on the Špitálka Smart City urban study, that was the outcome of the pre-thesis seminar in the winter term 2020/21. The urban study objective was the urban renewal of the Brno teplárny (heating plant) area and its surroundings as well as a design of a new urban boulevard. The thesis focuses on a design of a selected urban block in the Smart City Špitálka. This mixed-use development provides commercial, administrative and residential functions. The block is divided into two parts; either part consists of three sections. Two underground storeys providing parking space and space for building services are intended for the whole block. The case study further develops only the section that is labeled Coworking offering six floors for coworking spaces. On the ground floor there are spaces for a café, commerce and also the main entry to the co-working offices. A sky-office and a venue for rent are located on the seventh floor. The venue can be used for a wide range of events from smaller conferences, through corporate meetings & teambuildings to private parties. Both the sky-office and the venue have access to the rooftop terrace. The design creates a modern office building concept in the former industrial zone.
Mixed-use building “Lipa”

The subject of bachelor thesis is new building of mixed-use building Lipa in the cadastral area Židenice, part of Brno city in a row of residential buildings. The property is located in a sloping terrain. Mixed-use building Lipa is designed with four storeys, one underground and 3 aboveground floors. There are garages with a capacity of 11 parking places, a technical room, a storeroom, two engine rooms and two lifts for cars in underground floor. On the first floor there are business premises and the background of the apartment building. From the second to third floor there are dwellings. The roof is saddle-shaped with dormer windows. Main entrances are orientated on north-east.
Automotive Gear Lever Design Improvement

Zdeněk Hajdušek Automotive Gear Lever Design Improvement BW, IAE, 2010, 59 pp., 75 fig. When designing improvement of the gear lever, solution of higher stiffness and lower mass in compare to the old design has been designed while keeping a necessary safety ratio. A new attachment of the gear lever to the car´s frame which increases lateral stability of the lever has been designed.
